Mr. Barton’s expertise includes deep knowledge and over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the real estate development process including site acquisition, value engineering, budget approval processes, project design, budget control and construction management of major mixed-use and residential projects.
At Arcturus, Mr. Barton oversees all renovation work being undertaken at a 450,000 square foot retail lifestyle center in Anaheim, California. Prior to Arcturus, Mr. Barton has worked for a number of well-known real estate firms including Brickman Group, The Palladium Company (an affiliate of the Related Companies) and Corporate Property Investors (CPI).
Prior to Arcturus, Mr. Barton worked at Brickman Group where he oversaw the construction of a 116 unit condominium project with a 75,000 square foot museum in the base on Fifth Avenue in New York City. He also oversaw the $60 MM renovation of a 175 room St. Regis Hotel in Washington D.C.
Mr. Barton was previously at Palladium Company where he was responsible for the design, construction and infrastructure improvements of City Place, a mixed-use project in West Palm Beach, Florida containing 630,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space, 600+ residential units and a four-story parking structure. The total project budget was in excess of $200 MM and included the restoration and transformation of a church into a 350-seat cultural and performing arts center.
Mr. Barton was previously a Director of Development where he was responsible for the development and redevelopment of more than 4,000,000 square feet of retail and office properties as well as related parking and horizontal infrastructure.
